Despite the rather inclement weather, 24 intrepid players turned up on Saturday 27 April to celebrate King's Day with a sparkling round of golf! As usual there were prizes for the winners as well as the 'best dressed' (or most orange) player! We played a 4-ball scramble with an orange ball twist, which, as usual, caused confusion amongst the players (well a social would not be a social without some confusion)!
The outstanding winner of the best outfit was Margaret Baston (see photo attached) who actually played the whole round in the costume (despite some hiccups with the braces)! The winning team were Wil, Anna, Ton and Marga who beat Joe, Brian, Floor and Rod with a better score over the last 4 holes!
There is talk of a summer social but that will depend of course on the Committee and the support of the Club members! 24 is really the minimum number of players we need to run this sort of event!
